Key Responsibilities
- Crew Supervision: Leading, directing, and training drywall installers and subcontractors.
- Project Planning: Organizing workflow, interpreting blueprints, and managing resources (materials, tools).
- Quality Control: Ensuring all installed drywall meets project specifications and standards.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Communicating with other trades and project managers to keep the project on schedule.
- Safety & Budget: Enforcing job site safety rules and managing project budgets for the drywall phase.
- Hands-On Work: May perform journeyman-level drywall tasks, especially in smaller operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Extensive experience as a drywall installer, taper, and mudder is crucial.
- Leadership: Prior experience managing people is a major asset.
- Skills: Blueprint reading, problem-solving, communication, and understanding of construction processes.
