Mesh tape is a self-adhesive, fiberglass-based tape used in drywall finishing and repairs, known for its strength, mold resistance, and ease of application, allowing for faster repairs by letting joint compound penetrate the open weave for a strong bond, reducing blisters and bubbles common with paper tape. It's ideal for patching holes, mending seams, and reinforcing joints in moisture-prone areas like kitchens and bathrooms, though paper tape is often preferred for corners.
