A Drywall Knife, "aka" taping knife (or joint knife)is a specialized, wide-bladed drywall tool, typically 8 to 16 inches, designed for efficiently spreading joint compound ("mud"), embedding tape, and feathering seams. It features a flexible stainless steel or blue steel blade for smooth, consistent finishes over large flat joints, corners, and fastener heads.
