Nail Spotter

A nail spotter is a specialized drywall finishing tool used to quickly fill and smooth the indentations left by nails or screws in gypsum board, allowing a drywall finisher to cover an entire row of fasteners in one pass for increased efficiency and a cleaner finish, often without needing stilts for high walls. It works like a small box or trough, holding joint compound and wiping excess away as it glides over the dimpled fastener heads, reducing the need for extensive hand-finishing and sanding.
